PARK offers a wealth of expertise. This means you can also have your periodic fundus X-ray taken for diabetes, in addition to your driver's license examination. The results are sent directly to your GP. The only thing you need to bring with you besides your ID card is your health insurance card.

Step 1. Application phase

The first step in renewing your driver's license at 75 is completing the "Health Declaration" form from the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing). You can purchase this form at the following locations:

- On the CBR website (www.cbr.nl). This is the fastest way.

At your town hall (local government offices). Note: these are only health declarations for those aged 75 and over. (Does not apply to specialist medical examinations.)

After completing and submitting the health declaration, you will receive a referral from the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) to a medical examiner within four weeks. You are then ready to schedule an appointment for a driver's license inspection for those aged 75 at PARK driver's license inspections.

Step 2. Preparation phase

Please bring the following to the inspection:

- the printed referral letter with ZD code

- A current medication overview, even if you're not taking any medication. You can request this from your GP or pharmacist.

A urine sample no older than 2 hours does not need to be fasting. Urine containers are available from your pharmacy, doctor, or drugstore.

- A valid identification document (driver's license, passport or ID card).

- Copy of your glasses and/or lens correction.

Are you coming for a medical eye exam? In addition to the above, please also bring sunglasses. Your pupils will be dilated, and you will not be allowed to drive yourself home afterward.

Step 3. Inspection phase

During the 75 driver's license assessment, our BIG-registered colleague will perform several short tests and examinations. Based on the results, they will complete the assessment report. Based on this information, the CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) will decide on your driving fitness. If you are declared fit to drive, you can apply for or renew your driver's license.

If you want to renew your driver's license on or after your 75th birthday, you must undergo a medical examination. After that, you must be tested at least every five years. The examination takes about 15 minutes.

Sometimes, in addition to the 75 inspection, you'll need additional inspections. The CBR (Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing) will provide you with additional forms for these. If the form is for the examining doctor, we will complete it for you. We charge €25 per form to cover the costs of the consultation running over.

All our rates and additional surcharges meet the requirements of the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZA).
